The first looks here, were just a few great bridal images I spotted while surfing the web in search of things to discuss on my new blog! I guess this is a good starting point, so my readers can sort of identify my style and taste. Below, I included some illustrations of some hair and makeup ideas that I came up with.
I constantly roll through images in my mind, like film. I flip through look after look, drumming up different wedding themes and ideas of how to create an entire bridal look, according to different wedding themes. It doesn't get old. Here are some recent brainstorming sessions that have come to life on paper.
From left to right:
*I am imagining soft pin curls formed into a loose chignon at the nape of the neck, maybe some kind of a cool weave feeding into the cluster of culrs, with a vintage inspired headband, adorned with a bow and some fleshy pink roses. She has a clean and peachy complexion, clean eyes, maybe the slightest bit of a peachy gold shadow sweeping across her lid and just under her eye, the lashes defined, thick, and black. Deep red lips complete her look. She wears simple pearl earrings. In my mind, she is wearing an ivory or the palest of peachy pink, lacey, drop waist, 1910-ish maxi wedding dress that was inspired by the late and great fashion designer, Paul Poiret.
*She is a modern blonde with a beauitul golden complexion. Her blue eyes are complimented by soft and warm hues of brown eyeshadow all the way around the peramiter of her eye lids, then the top of her lids are tightlined and the bottom waterline lined in black. She is well bronzed around the contours of her face and her lipstick is a golden shimmer gloss. Her hair is back combed up high from the front of her head and pulled back into a handsome ponytail of loose curls, allowing the beauty of the thickness and length of her hair to be apparent. This would be gorgeous with a low back and drapey, simple sheath dress, maybe a beautiful mermaid shaped skirt. Simple gold accessories with a few diamonds on her wrist would be a perfect touch.
*Oh So Sofia Lauren! A naked lip, a very contoured and dramatic eye! I can envision this woman with the perfectly contoured eyes in grays and pinks, to really give her that sultry bedroom smokey eye! She has thick lashes (always accomplished with some natural looking falsies combined with a couple layers of black, black BLACK mascara and a lash curler!) Side note: I have always said that It is pretty standard to use THREE coats of mascara! Nothing less!! Anyway, in this scenario, we would use the lightest peachy pink or nude color on the lid, then using a very defining brush, you would define the deepest part of your eyelid with a dark grey and then blend the line with a deep rose pink. The whole peramiter of the eye would be lined in black as well, with a smokey blend making it a soft, not Hard line. She has defined cheekbones with a good bronzer that is contouring the shape of her facial bone structure. She is making a statement with her huge bouffant and low bun, decorated with a single white rose on the side. Gotta love her look!
